I compete in regional and national amateur golf tournaments. I’ve always loved playing competitive golf, as well as the pursuit of continuous improvement. I have competed in national championships conducted by the USGA, the WGA, and the NCAA.
”Experience
I specialize in serving ultra-high-net-worth and family office clients — many of whom own, or have owned, a multigenerational family business, are founders of emerging growth businesses, or are investment fund professionals.
Using a holistic approach to wealth management, I collaborate with clients and a broad team of specialists to connect the dots between a client’s business affairs, financial plan, investment portfolio, wealth transfer goals, income and estate tax exposure, risk management needs, and philanthropic goals in order to optimize their personal balance sheet on an after-tax, after-fee basis.
I consult with clients on a range of specialized topics and situations, including investment policy development and portfolio implementation, pre-liquidity event planning, cash management strategies, financial independence and excess capital planning, business succession, complex estate tax planning, and family education for future wealth inheritors.
Internally at the firm, I co-lead our career services partnership with the Evans Scholars Foundation. I have been involved with various strategic planning initiatives for the firm and the wealth management practice. I am also a past member of our Investment Research Committee. I am proud to have earned the firm’s Morrison Award (2015), recognizing the caring, giving, and selfless spirit that characterizes the firm’s culture.
I am actively involved with the Evans Scholars Foundation serving as a Director, member of the Long-Range Planning Committee, and mentor to current scholars.
I hold an M.B.A. from the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business. I received my B.B.A. from Saginaw Valley State University, and I belong to its College of Business & Management Alumni Association, as well as the Detroit Catholic Central Alumni Association. I obtained my Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) certification through the Investments & Wealth Institute and their executive-level education at the University of Chicago, Booth School of Business.
I thoroughly enjoy spending my free time with my wife, three children, and our golden retriever. Besides my family, my other passion is golf. It’s been a major part of my life for more than 25 years. I’m passionate about golf course architecture and sharing the game’s unique experiences with others.
